2:51 pm	Westie Puppy House Training The best way to house train your westie is not to let them relieve inside the house and never letting the behavior start. It takes time and extra attention when your westie is small, but the dog training process must be less stressful for all. At first you have to admit that accidents do happen and the westie under the month of 3 or 4 have very small bladder and they have no realization about doing until they have started it. There are several time for your puppy to go and relieve themselves. So you can take them out and staying there until they are finished and them rewarding them afterward, which helps you westie pup for succeeding. Your westie pup will need to eliminate suddenly after they wake up from sleep, after the meal, and before going for nap. If in case your puppy is starting to go before you take them out, give a strong and firm not frightening noise in order to stop them. And afterward you can take them out for elimination. You can easily guess about the time when are going for sleep and this is probably the second time when they will need to eliminate. It is also that the pups have an automatic reflex for relieving after half an hour or one hour later eating. You have to make a routine for westie training, their eating, playing, potty time along all day. There are lots of signal they will be showing when they need to be taken out for potty like being restless, sniffing and circling round and round as they eagerly find their potty place. It is essential to have a close watch over your westie puppy during westie house training. Some trainers also suggested keeping your westie in six-foot long leash in order not to let them wander too far. Or using the baby gates for confining them in a single room is appropriate. There must be schedule managed like taking your yorkie at the same spot for relieving when they are awake and after meal, after playtime and before going to bed. So taking your yorkie out for elimination is the first thing you have to do in the morning as they will be waiting whole for this moment. Keep the potty break little short for the first time and bring t hem in for breakfast. At the mean time you can get ready for your day and till then your pup will finish eating. Once you had have your breakfast, take them again out for potty. It is important to keep the schedule in order to have a happy pet. And for those who will be working out of the house most of the time, find any of the family member or a dog walker to take care of the dogs’ mid morning and afternoon breaks. The potty breaks should be short about 15 minutes and playtime shouldn’t be confused. And keep the routine same until dinnertime and let them out for potty once again as you get back home from work. When feeding them, feed them at evening, so the food will be digested and become ready for elimination before bedtime. You have to strictly follow this schedule every day. Once your yorkie puppy finishes his potty, praise them with affection and also reward them with some yorkie biscuits, but in most case it is not essential. You can proper maintain this schedule for getting the task done and praise them instead of trying the old school methods of rubbing their nose in the mess if they do any mistakes. First thing first, you have to keep in mind that they have to constantly supervise during their first house training session. They are same as kid and need a constant watch. They have a keen sense of smelling and love to follow their nose and this is the reason of getting them in trouble. This part may be challenging but if you have patience and consistency, you can surely succeed. You have to begin the house training session as soon as possible and keep the constant schedule. So, the training will be easier for you and your dog both. Take your beagle out after the meal. It ensures that they relieve out of the house and not in the house. Take them for a few while walk if possible in every interval of time. You can also try out for crate training which will be easy later and most of the dogs respond positively to it. Feed your puppy at the same time and never let your beagle to eat what he wants. It helps to keep the digestive system of the dog healthy and on schedule and will be easier to understand the prediction of their elimination. Quality food is also recommended to make their health sound and on schedule. Dogs also need certain level of nutrition like we need and it will n\be benefitting them with house training. Beagles are great pet even they are very challenging for house training. The only thing you have to remember is house train your puppy in home.
