Westie Puppy House Training 
The best way to house train your westie is not to let them relieve inside the house and never letting the behavior start. It takes time and extra attention when your westie is small, but the
dog training process must be less stressful for all.
At first you have to admit that accidents do happen and the westie under the month of 3 or 4 have very small bladder and they have no realization about doing until they have started it. There are several time for your puppy to go and relieve themselves. So you can take them out and staying there until they are finished and them rewarding them afterward, which helps you westie pup for succeeding.
Your westie pup will need to eliminate suddenly after they wake up from sleep, after the meal, and before going for nap. If in case your puppy is starting to go before you take them out, give a strong and firm not frightening noise in order to stop them. And afterward you can take them out for elimination.
You can easily guess about the time when are going for sleep and this is probably the second time when they will need to eliminate. It is also that the pups have an automatic reflex for relieving after half an hour or one hour later eating. You have to make a routine for westie training, their eating, playing, potty time along all day. There are lots of signal they will be showing when they need to be taken out for potty like being restless, sniffing and circling round and round as they eagerly find their potty place.
It is essential to have a close watch over your westie puppy during
westie house training. Some trainers also suggested keeping your westie in six-foot long leash in order not to let them wander too far. Or using the baby gates for confining them in a single room is appropriate. And some recommend crating them most of day and letting them out during the interval of time for eliminating, playing and then again back to the crate for sleep.
